It is pitch dark when you push your friend so you can't see very well in the night. In fact, as you throw him/her overboard, (s)he falls onto one of the side lifeboats that the yacht has and is saved.

Some time later, when you're lying on your bed thinking about what you've just done, there's a knocking at your door. You walk to the door and, as you open it, you get a sudden slap in your face and, immediately after, a passionate kiss.

Your friend is back and you feel relieved and happy that nothing bad happened to him after all.
