Aims:
To learn how to round up natural numbers to the nearest hundred.

Introduction:
Let's round the following numbers to the nearest ten.

13……….10 57………..60 84………….80

47……….50 85………..90 46…………..50

61……….60 32………...30 98…………..100

While rounding the numbers before 5 are rounded to the subdecimal as 5,and 5 and after 5 are rounded to the upper decimal. While rounding the number 42 there is number 2 at the ones- digit so it is rounded to the sub decimal.Namely it is 40.When rounding the number 45 there is number 5 at the ones-digit,it is ronded to the upper decimal ,so it is 50.

Main part:
Let's round the following numbers to the nearest hundred.

112………….100 860………..900 470……………500

340………….300 757………...800 510……………500

690………….700 956…………1000 635……………600

While the numbers have been rounded,we look at the tens-digit of that number. The numbers below 50 are rounded to the subdecimal, 50 and over 50 are rounded to the upper decimal. When rounding the number 257 to the nearest hundred we look at number 57. This number is over than 50 so it is rounded upper hundred. So that's 300.

Round the numbers given below to the nearest hundred.

712………….. 898……………… 482……………

385…………. 725……………… 320……………

605………….. 975……………… 235……………
