- Customer: I'd like a pair of jeans for me, please
- Shop-assistant: All these are on sale now, it's a good opportunity
- Customer: Oh, are they? And I can see there are good brands, Levis,
Wrangler... Do you think you have my size in this colour?
- Shop-assistant: Let me see, I think this one can fit. Why don't you
try it on?
- Customer: Where is the changing-room?
- Shop-assistant: This way, please. Call me if you need a bigger size
- Customer: OK, thank you

Understanding new vocabulary
Your previous knowledge and experience of a situation may help you to guess vocabulary that you don't know. Don't be afraid to make guesses and use your logic and common sense.
In this example, you have to guess some common words that we use when shopping for clothes
Did you know these expressions?
- on sale: sometimes it means reduced prices
- brands: the commercial trademark of a product
- size: there are four main sizes for clothes: small, medium, large and extra-large
- try it on: put on an article of clothing to see if it is our size
- to fit: to be the right size for somebody
- changing room: the place where you can change your clothes
