This activity is based on the BBC video EARTH RIDE, a documentary about water and its influence on our planet. It takes about two sessions - the video is already 55 minutes long. Teachers are advised to prepare the sessions carefully. We even think that English teachers should be involved in the organization of this activity, so don’t be afraid to ask for help and cooperation.

The video activities have been organised in sections with their corresponding questions that students should read before watching the segments, which will provide them with previous information about what they are going to watch. After every section teachers should provide the answers if students haven’t got them and check that they are following the story. If necessary, it can be played with subtitles in English.

Remember that this is a printable activity (word), which means that you may alter it at your convenience, thus making the activity adaptable to your needs and goals as a teacher.

Making students find some of the places mentioned in the video on the Google Earth programme would be a very interesting complementary activity.
