TIPS FOR TEACHERS

On this page your students are going to learn some basic rules that will teach them to play baseball correctly. They will learn about its players, its tools, etc. They must find all the information they need here and then do some activities in order to test their knowledge. There is a printable worksheet available at the bottom of this page that we recommend since it will be useful for your students to keep a record of the things they are learning. The worksheet also allows you to prepare this activity as a usual classroom task in case you don't want your students to use a computer.

The activity has been organised in four different parts:

First of all there is a rather easy true/false game about some very simple facts of baseball.

Secondly, we offer another simple game so that your students may learn the names of the four basic tools of this sport.

Then, there's a quiz with ten questions. It is a bit more difficult and requires reading the rules provided by the page very carefully.

Finally, there's one last matching game about the five different ways a player can get 'out' of the game. Again they have to read the rules carefully since the answers are stated there.
