TIPS FOR TEACHERS

On this page your students are going to have a look at some of the most important religions in the world on the BBC website. The activity's goal is very simple. They are going to read some general information about different religions in the world and then they will have to share their information with the rest of the class.

Once the class has been divided into as many groups as religions you want them to learn about (the number or students may vary), each chooses a religion and fills in a chart with the most relevant information. When they have finished, they have to tell the other students about their religion. It is also advisable to give each student copies of the chart so that they can fill them in with the information provided by the other groups.

When planning the activity, take the following point into consideration: the length may vary depending on the number of groups and religions. Perhaps the activity will take a long time and a few sessions, so plan it carefully and always focus on your goals as a teacher.
