Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. Chrsitmas Eve is the night before Christmas, it is on December 24th. For Christmas all houses are decorated with Christmas Trees, ornaments, lights, candles, bells, stockings, wreaths, angels and lots of other decorations. Streets in the towns and cities are decorated, too. In some countries, for example, United Kingdom, Australia, USA, New Zealand, Canada and Northern European countries, etc. Father Christmas brings presents to good children during Christmas Eve. Children open their presents on the Christmas morning. Another name for Father Christmas is Santa Claus. Father Christmas is an old fat man that come into the houses through chimneys, balconies or windows. It is important to prepare some food on Christmas Eve for his long journey around all children's homes in the world. Nowadays, Father Christmas wears red clothes but originally he wore green clothes. The next day, December 26th, is Boxing Day. New year is on January 1st.
