Music Notation. Dotted notes.

When reading music, sometimes you will come across some notes with a dot next to them on their right side. We call these dotted notes. The dot makes the notes fifty per cent longer. For example, whereas a whole note takes four beats, a dotted whole note takes six beats (4 + 2).
