SOME TIPS ON TALKING ABOUT NEWS
        IN THE ENGLISH CLASS

I ask this type of questions from time to time, as a warm up activity.

      Day 1
      - The names of People and Places are good for Spelling dictations.
      - Data are good to dictate numbers.
      - Difficult questions can be asked in the form of a multiple choice exercise
      - It is good to give a handout summarising the activity at the end
      - New words are underlined on the handout, for learners to find them
        easily.
      Day 2
      - When vocabulary is reviewed (the next day) the new words are easy to
        find, as they are underlined.
      - Learners are encouraged to create new sentences with the new vocabulary
      Evaluation
Learners are asked to write sentences on what they learned in the written
exam, but it is not a compulsory question in the exam. Learners do it
only if they want, and get a bonus for it.
