Preixana is situated in the Urgell plain and at the south of "sitjar hill". The Urgell Canal crosses near the village. The dry farming are cereals and almond trees . The irrigation farming are fruit trees, corn and lucern. 
One road goes to Bellpuig and another to Tarrega.

Saint Maria Church
It's situated on the bottom of "Sitjar hill", in this place some years ago there was the ald Castle, it was gothic style. The bell tower was built 50 years ago for stonecutters. The building teacher was born in Preixana.
 
Catalunya Square
It's a Square with flowers, a monumental fountain in the centre of it, stone benches to sit and swings. It's a place to play for children an adults.
Saint Llorenç  "Lawrence"
It's a social place for young people.
Some time ago it was be a church. Inside you can see objects of the romanasque style.
On the wall there are some pictures of birds, it is an important symbol in the village.
Xamà house
The front is very well preserved. The door is from the 1559, and the windows are Renassance style.
It had been for many years the cafe and cinema in teh village.
